Big Bang TOP discharged from hospital, all suicidal rumours denied

Big Bang member TOP has been discharged 1 day after admitting into the hospital on 6th November at 2pm.

YG Entertainment said on 6th November, “After the health examination this morning, it was said that TOP’s situation has improved, and that he will be able to be discharged from the hospital today (6th November).”

They had also apologised for not coming out soon enough to clear the rumours that were spreading around that TOP has attempted suicide.

TOP’s elder sister Choi Hye Yoon has also denied all speculations about TOP’s supposed suicidal attempt as rumours.

TOP has admitted into Seoul HeukSeokDong Central Hospital on 5th November at 1pm in the afternoon for overwork and exhaustion.

Big Bang will have their comeback stage on 8th November on MBC Music Core.

Big Bang member TOP (21) was admitted to Seoul HeukSeokDong Central Hospital on 5th November at 1pm in the afternoon.
There has been a lot of wondering by fans on TOP’s elder sister Choi Hye Yoon’s minihompy if Big Bang TOP’s admission into the hospital on 5th November was due to suicidal thoughts.

It was said that it was due to overwork and exhaustion and TOP has been told to rest in the hospital.5th November is also the day that Big Bang releases their 2nd official album ‘Remember’, they have been busy practising with the preparation for their comeback right after their Japanese concert performances throughout the whole of October.A representative from YG Entertainment said at the hospital, “The situation is not very serious, hence their comeback performance on the 8th will still take place.”

Some said it was due to suicidal thoughts..


Media has also speculated about this possibility since it was discovered that TOP has taken a month’s worth of medicine on 5th November in his Seoul MaPoGoo HapJungDong home. And frantic fans have went on to TOP’s sister’s minihompy asking if TOP’s ’suicidal thoughts’ were true.

What YG Entertainment has to say…

A representative of YG Entertainment said, “TOP was already down with flu on 5th November, and he was working overnight until 4am in the morning doing recording. Furthermore on his birthday on the 4th, he went out drinking even though he usually cannot hold his liquor well. And after all this, he went home after after feeling fatigue and took medicine. His body couldn’t take the stress as he didn’t have the time to sleep and rest enough, and was admitted into the hospital.”

All i have to say is stop spreading rumors that aren't true! he's not suicidal and he's not even addicted to any drug! tsk tsk! i hate people who try pulling people down for whatever reason they have.. why don't you just wish that the person get well.. it's sooo easy to do that right?

Even though Big Bang is listed as his debut, TOP has been rapping since middle school under the name Tempo. He started out doing gigs in underground clubs, sometimes with an older friend of his, NBK Gray. They never signed to any label or released an album, but a song of theirs, Buckwild, is floating around in mp3 format. He won KBS Radio's "Rap Battle" in 2003.

His new stage name, T.O.P, was chosen by Se7en. Unlike the rest of Big Bang, TOP hasn't trained to be a singer. His only singing part so far is at the beginning of She Can't Get Enough.
He's very charismatic and funny and he often gets sent on TV shows alone, either as a guest or MC. In August 2007, he started acting in the drama I Am Sam. In summer 2007, he was also featured as an actor in Red Roc's Hello MV.
